You will need:
1/4 tsp. dry active yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
In a bowl, combine ingredients to form a ball. I like to use my hands!
Coat the inside of a large zip lock bag with olive oil and place the dough inside.
Seel and store at room temperature.
Let dough expand for 8-12 hours.
After waiting for what seems like FOREVER, the dough is ready to be cooked.
Lightly dust your board with flour and form the dough into a ball, folding several times from each corner.
Place the dough seam-side up in a HOT pot.
The seams will expand in the oven giving you a nice textured crust.
At 500 degrees, cook bread with lid on for 30 minutes, then 15-20 minutes with the lid off.
Monitor this last step closely. Burnt crust no bueno.
